Excellent authentic Mexican Food. The best in the area.
Well unfortunately I have had authentic Mexican food before. That's to my sis Martha. To.start the waitress was friendly. I enjoy spicy things but the chips and salsa LIT ME UP! When I was informed about the "Special". I was told shrimp and octopus. When it arrived it was over a bed of talipa!! Which I can't stand. When asked by the server she apologized and took the check to ask about doing something about the $18.99 "SPECIAL". When. She returned. She kindly stated they would only charge me for another dish with was only $14.99. So...................... I guess I'll try after they they have been opened for longer!!¡!
This is a review for the Taqueria Michocan in the Scoreboard Casino. We went last night with friends. First thing that impressed me was country music playing in a Mexican resturant. Lol. Second it was very cold inside. Outside was cold and for some reason they had their air conditioner going. We froze through the whole dinner. Service was okay. Waitress was young and not friendly but she did an okay job. Now onto the food. Not that good. The refried beans tasted burnt. My fish tacos were overly deep fried. They were hars as rocks. The menu said they had a special sauce but there was none unless you consider sour cream special. They topped the fish taco with cucumbers. That is hardly Mexican. My friend said her burrito was just ok. I personally was not impressed and wont be going back..
Best Chinese food. Most authentic in Elko and moreso in most of the state and perhaps closer out of state cities. Decor may not be fabulous, but where that lacks the food makes up for. Very prompt with food. I have visited the establishment and ordered take out on several occasions and have never had a wait, rather it is quite quick. Service is not similar to American establishments, but it is owned and operated by native Chinese and therefore may be customary service in their culture. Regardless, the service is decent. I highly recommend the China Garden if you desire great Chinese food.
